Time flies when you're BUSY!

I swear I haven't been purposely neglecting my faithful blog followers!! Things have just been so crazy that I keep meaning to sit down and write and the next thing you know it's a week later and I still haven't done it...

Midterms start tomorrow. I haven't binged on sour soothers because of it this time (go me!) - not sure if it's because I'm not worried about them or because I haven't really studied yet (haha, I'm totally serious too - I write my first one tomorrow at 10:30 and I haven't cracked a book - how's that for procrastinating?). My lack of sour soothers is a good thing though - it means I'm finding other ways to deal with my stress. haha

I got a gym membership at the beginning of the month. I was concerned I wasn't going to have time for it but it's actually worked into my schedule VERY well - gives me something constructive to do in the time that I'm stuck in Steinbach waiting for the next thing in my day to happen. I've lost 3 pounds (which honestly for as hard as I've been working feels like a TOTAL rip off! lol) but I'm starting to get definition and I'm definitely feeling more toned in the short time I've been going.

Big News! I've registered to walk the Calgary Marathon with my aunts (one is running, the other is walking). I'm excited and terrified and determined all at the same time. It's giving me a great goal to work towards and it's keeping me at the gym (possibly fear based because I know that if I skip the gym too many times I won't be able to complete the marathon much less complete it under my goal time!). Nothing like starting with a mammoth goal, eh? haha

I think that basically covers what's happened since the last time I blogged - kind of sad that I can sum up a month in 3 paragraphs!! lol Things are good though - and after this week I'm heading into the home stretch for year 1 at school. Registration for year 2 starts this week. Looks like I'm going to have to take it in the city but we've already got a rockin' car pool worked out and if we play our cards right my friends and I should be able to get into the same class so it's not looking too bad. ;)

Have a great week! If you're a curling fan like me you'll be glued to your tv most of the week watching the Scotties!! If you're not - you probably don't have a clue what the Scotties are... =P It's ok - I love you anyways! haha =)

Scotties??? Isn't that a kleenex or toilet paper brand or something?

Yes it is Brian. They sponsor the women's national curling championship - thus it is called the Scott Tournament of Hearts - or the Scotties or the Scott.
